For those wanting to explore the Lake District National Park, I'd like to recommend Lowside Farm Lodges. Lowside Farm Lodges are a collection of cosy lodges just outside the village of Troutbeck.

The Lake District National Park has lots to see and do. You can spend some time on the water, either by hiring a motor boat and letting the engine do the work - or by taking a canoe or kayak out on the water, and working on your arm muscles! if you prefer to be in the water, you can always enjoy a swim in one of the great lakes.

Ther are plenty of walks to be had around these parts too, from those easy strolls with the children; too those harder rugged climbs. You have a good selection of routes to follow, or just make it up as you go along.

For the cyclists amongst you - whether road of track is your thing, the Lake District National Park caters for you too.
